This week, Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson delivered his annual State of the Region address. Speaking to an audience of community representatives from across the Sunshine Coast at the Nambour RSL, Mayor Jamieson expressed that sense of optimism and confidence prevailed across the Sunshine Coast as we stand on the cusp of a new decade.
“There is no better place to be at this time than the Sunshine Coast as a place to live, work, recreate, raise a family or run a business,” Mayor Jamieson said.
The Mayor spoke of many Council-run and community-led initiatives that are ensuring our region continues to progress as a healthy, smart, creative region offering a great way of life and enjoying our outstanding natural environment.
As part of the event, two HeliMods team members were invited to be part of a panel discussion alongside the Mayor and two other community members. Our Managing Director, Will Shrapnel, represented both HeliMods and the UNESCO Biosphere Nomination Community Reference Group, which he Chaired this year, resulting in what was an outstanding, collaborative nomination on behalf of the Sunshine Coast community. Our Head of Strategic Engagement, Sandra Arico, represented both HeliMods and the next generation of leaders on the Sunshine Coast, helping to contribute actively to our community and to the growth of our economy for future generations.
It was a great opportunity to share stories and insights and to speak genuinely about the great things our region is achieving. We look forward to continuing to be part of shaping what promises to be an exciting future ahead.Share
