Sunshine Coast aerospace technology company HeliMods was announced last night as the 2019 Premier of Queensland’s Regional Exporter of the Year, in recognition of its outstanding export success.
This award comes off the back of an impressive year of growth and international success, including a multi-million dollar export contract with Canadian air ambulance provider Ornge, where HeliMods’ patented powered stretcher technology is transforming the delivery of patient care and paramedic safety across the province of Ontario.
HeliMods was founded in 2002 by fourth-generation Sunshine Coast local, Will Shrapnel, who has built the business into what is now a globally renowned provider of aerospace technologies and solutions, servicing customers all over the world from its impressive facility in Caloundra.

In addition to winning Regional Exporter of the Year, HeliMods was also one of four finalists in the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials award category. In securing their Regional Exporter award win, HeliMods will now be entered into the Australian Export Awards, which will be held in Canberra on 3 December 2019.
